Dispensing for
           Finishing Ranges

 

Arel concept for dispensing of finishing ranges ensures optimal on-time dispensing by using APC or standard PC, modular ARAD application software platform, and off-the-shelf mechanical elements.

Arel concept allows easy and fast customization. The system can be easily upgraded and modified, to allow changes  in the production machinery.

 

Operation Description

 

According to predifined or transmitted chemicals list and recipes, and according to batch characteristics, the system:

  • Prefils the target tanks with water

  • Measures the requested chemicals

  • Adds water

  • Operates the mixers for certain times and heat to requested temperatures

  • Delivers the content progressively to the machines

  • Repeats these operations till the end of each batch

  • Manages guided weighing for non liquid products

  • Manages production scheduling

  • Manages stock control

The system fully supports parallel preparations of all the tanks considering installation restrictions.

 

The system is based on:

 

Controller

 

Arel APC-504, which is a standard PC, characterized by very rugged industrial packaging and electronics, built to stand the harsh environment conditions of textile plants.

Alternatively, any modern PC can be used as controller.

The inputs outputs elements are serialy connected to the PC and are located in the control panel(s).

 

Control Panel(s)

 

The control cabinet(s) are made of hot reinforced polyester suitable even for outdoor installations.

The control cabinet(s) house all the pneumatic and electronic elements which are used as interface between the PC and the mechanical hardware and the sensors.

The cabinet(s) has specially designed recess panel with mimic diagram and switches for manual operation.

 

 

Software

 

ARAD - Arel Rapid Application Development software.

ARAD is a software platform for monitoring and control applications, based on V.B.A.™ – Visual Basic for Application script – under direct licensing from Microsoft, and operating under Windows NT® operating system.

Mechanical Hardware

 

Sensors

Magnetic inductive flow meters are offered as standard.
The sensors have pulsed DC field excitation with automatic zero point correction, no moving parts and full bore passage.
Mass flow meters are offered for special non-polar liquids.

Level sensors are mostly based on pressure sensing principle with pneumatic interface.

Special other sensors including various weighing mechanism, are offered whenever requested.

Pump(s)

The dispensing pumps are either tri-lobe rotor entirely in AISI 316 stainless steel, with variable speed drive, or two speeds air activated pumps.

 

Valves & Pipes

According to the applications, Arel offer the most suitable valves and pipes either from stainless steel or from plastic material.

Valves manifolds are specially designed to allow easy cleaning and to avoid “dead spaces”.

If the valves are supplied locally, Arel advise the customer type   and size of valves and pipes.
