Arel concept for monitoring and control of continuous processes ensures optimal automatization by using just standard PC, or Arel industrial PCAPC, and ARADArel Rapid Application Development software.

The system is very reliable, easy to implement and extremely cost effective

 

Operation 

The operator selects a process from a predefined library, to fit the fabric and the requested treatment. 

The process setting may be optimized automatically to fit exactly the lot and quality parameters.

According to the operation setup, the procedure parameters and the feed back from the machine sensors, the controller may perform the following functions: 

  • Filling the machine chambers and automatic start up

  • Adding chemicals (for the first filling and while the machine is running) 

  • Keeping programmed levels while the machine is running 

  • Temperatures control 

  • Speed adjustments 

  • Counter flow control 

  • Pressures control of the squeezers 

  • pH control

  • Concentration control

  • Steamer pressure control

  • Draining to various levels 

  • Controlled stop

  • Other agreed functions

The operator can view a computerized mimic diagram, where he can see the machine status and any deviations and alarms. 

Full reporting system is included, as well as, integrating with other systems.

 

 

Controller

Any modern PC can be used as a controller.

Alternatively, Arel APC-504, which is a standard PC, characterized by very rugged industrial packaging and electronics, built to stand the harsh environment conditions of textile plants.

The inputs outputs modules are serialy connected to the PC and are located in the control panel(s).  

The I/O modules can be standard ethernet modules, or AREL I/O modules through RS485 communication.

 

 

Control Panel(s)

The control panel(s) are made of reinforced polyester suitable even for outdoor installations.

The control panel(s) house the Digital and Analog I/O modules, Power Supplies, as well as, the pneumatic and electronic elements which interface between the PC and the machine valves, motors and sensors.

 

The panel(s) has specially designed recess plate with mimic diagram and switches for manual operation.

 

Software

ARAD - Arel Rapid Application Development software.


ARAD
is a software platform for monitoring and control applications, based on V.B.A. – Visual Basic for Application script – under direct licensing from Microsoft, and operating under Windows NT® operating system.

Sensors

The system can be adapted to communicate with existing sensors.

Arel is also organizing upon request, to offer suitable sensors from leading manufacturers.

 

Chemicals Addition

The chemicals may be dispensed according to two concepts: 

A.  The chemicals are added as percentage of the water flow or as percentage of the fabric weight that passes through the machine.

At the starting procedure the chemicals are added as percentages of the water tanks volume.

B.  The chemicals are added according to machine sensors e.g. P.H., Redox, Conductivity etc.

If method A is adapted - the chemicals can be measured by metering cylinder, metering pump, or flow meter.

If method B is adapted - the PC is programmed to open control valve adjusting the requested concentration at the starting and at the running stages. (see attached drawing).

Upon request the system may be set for combining few methods together.
