Dwell
Time and Moisture Retention Control
Control
of Dwell-Time
- The controller ensures that the fabric reaches a certain
temperature and remains at that temperature for the exact time, as
determined by a recipe. The controller measures the fabrics
temperature at strategic points, by infrared sensors, and increases or
decreases the machine speed.

Moisture Retention
– A single infrared sensor at the last section of the stenter
measures the temperature of the fabric. The temperature at this point
is directly related to the degree of moisture retained by the fabric.
By controlling the speed of the fabric, the A.S.C. maintains the
desired humidity settings. Alternatively any direct moisture sensitive
can be used.
The Infra-red
Sensors

Arel’s policy is to use standard sensors with special adaptation for
stenter frames. Cooperation with the market leader in InfraRed sensing,
results in sensors with unique characteristics:
-
State
of the art technology, advanced electro - optics ,micro machined
thermopile detector
-
Sensor
and electronics integration - for easy installation, easy access and
for reliable operation.
-
Designed
for harsh temperature applications.

Central Computer Interface
An
Ethernet interface enables the controller to be linked to a higher order
computer.
The
controller can be used also as an operator terminal for central production
floor monitoring, and for on line scheduling.
Upon
keying the batch ticket, the recipe (set points) can be automatically
transmitted from the center.
The
central system produces alarms and deviation reports, and customized
production reports.
