CORE SYSTEM
The core system provides the necessary infrastructure and foundation from which
all other component modules are built.
It also consists of the base run time interface, security rules and connection management.
Database engine
AToMS utilises an extremely scalable and high speed data storage mechanism.
This is not a traditional relational database but rather an optimised data store to provide the best
possible performance. For relational database reporting you will require
the SQL Replicator.
Inbuilt reporting engine
AToMS provides a flexible reporting engine for use by the average user and power user alike.
This engine allows you to create and generate ad-hoc reports in a simple and easy to follow,
guided manner. Results can then be saved to disk, displayed on screen, sent directly to a printer or
saved as a .CSV file for use in Excel.
Inbuilt security
The core system includes an inbuilt security structure that can control access to resources such as
modules, programs or individual fields within data entry screens based on either physical terminal/PC
location or passwords.
Automated job scheduling
With the AToMS core system you are able to schedule nightly reports,
batch updates and other processing as desired. The schedules allow for single jobs to be run or for
multiple jobs to be run in a chain. Execution can be dependant on the day of the week, whether we are at
the end of a week or month, or if a new financial reporting period is about to begin.
System "dictionaries"
A number of system “Dictionaries” are used to hold the definitions for
various codes used within the modules that form an AToMS system. These definitions can be customised by
you and can be added to at any point in time.
