ENGINEERING
The engineering module is designed to allow engineers to respond to faults in
operating machinery and to record corrective actions taken, to allow them to schedule preventative
maintenance jobs and to allow them to maintain and control a stock of spare parts for plant equipment.
For each part in the factory the engineering module allows recording of serial numbers, supplier part
numbers, machines it can be used on, etc. Brushes, motors, rollers, reeds, needles, and so forth can all
be monitored.
Preventative maintenance jobs may be scheduled at any time, and downtimes can be determined as a result.
Schedules can be one off, or rotating and jobs can be assigned to particular engineers for actioning.
All jobs, preventative or repair, include details of what the problem/task was and what actions took
place as a result. Any spare parts used are traced and faulty parts can be tracked back to purchase
orders and the original supplier.
