ORDER ENTRY & SALES
Without orders you cannot do business. If your order entry process is slow or
cumbersome, you can slow down your response times, introduce errors and cause yourself many headaches.
The Arel Order Entry & Sales module provides a simple and clean interface for the order entry process,
customised to meet your requirements.
The Arel system allows you to work on either a Make To Stock/Sell From Stock basis, or a Make To Order basis. In fact, the system is so flexible that it very simple to work in a mixed environment, where you have Stock Service sales alongside Made To Order sales.
Commission sales are also easily managed in the system and such sales can be managed. The methods for
charging for commission work and the ownership of stock during processing can be customised to suit
your needs.
In addition to the core function of placing orders on the system it can incorporate any of the following
optional elements:
Contract Management If you have customers that promise to take a certain amount of greige
fabric in a period, but can only supply a specific colouring breakdown, or printing breakdown a short
time before they want it you can create a greige contract with them. The “contract” does not have to be
a legal document, it can be a simple as a general understanding that they will use a certain amount of fabric.
Using the contract you can build a stock of greige in advance of the customers requirement and make
your production much simpler. Customer orders can be easily linked to the “contract” to enable
cross-checking of the take-up versus the original requirement.
Sales Forecast & Budget Integration Sales forecasts and budgets can be incorporated in to
the sales system and used in performance management reporting, and customer relationship management.
Forecasts and budgets can be incorporated from 3rd party tools, or can be developed using the Arel
Sales Forecasting tool.
On-Line Inquiries To provide your sales representatives with more information on the state
of orders, the stock of available product, order history and a variety of other useful information the
Order Entry & Sales module includes (by default) a number of powerful inquiry screens.
Customer Contacts & Agents In addition to maintaining information about your customers
(usually corporations) the Sales module allows you to keep information on the various customer contacts
within those companies. Trading agents, who buy on behalf of your customers, can also be tracked for
informational purposes.
